Canada Reads is an annual "battle of the books" competition organized and broadcast by Canada's public broadcaster, the CBC. The program airs annually in two distinct editions, the English-language Canada Reads on CBC Radio One, and the French-language Le Combat des livres on Première Chaîne.

Welcome to the great Canadian book debate! Five champions each choose a book by a Canadian writer that they believe the entire country should read. After four days of debates, one book will be declared the winner of Canada Reads.
In these days of isolation, the books debate show explores stories that inspire readers to reflect on community and who we are in the world we live in. Over four days, five Canada Reads champions will bring their diverse perspectives to this year's theme: One Book to Connect Us.
